FREE Lost Dog Service

As our guest dogs safety is our main concern, to ensure their safe even when they are not staying with one of our Minders we have a free lost dog service for all TopDog customers.

We all know how hard it is to contact council rangers or rescue services outside of business hours to report a lost dog or you may have found a lost dog wandering after hours and couldn’t contact anyone. We thought there had to be a better way of reuniting lost dogs with their owners as quick as possible. This is where our unique Lost Dog ID tags come in.

The Lost Dog ID tags are an integrated part of our service and we are the only dog minding company that includes this free service.

If your dog has not stayed with us since we introduced the service, within a few days of making your booking you will receive your dogs unique ID tag in the post. You can place this tag on your dog as soon as you receive it.

This ID tag must be on your dog before leaving them with your dogs Minder and can remain on the dog even while at home.

The ID tag looks similar to the local council tags but it has a unique identification number and the TopDog freecall phone number. If your dog escaped your home and someone calls us to say they have found your dog we will ask the finder for the unique id on the dog tag so we can look up your details. We then give the finder your phone number. We also take down the finders details and give you a call to pass on all the finders contact details.

In the unlikely event of your dog escaping from the Minders home, our Minders and staff follow strict procedures to ensure the safe return of your dog. A large part of this procedure is our unique dog tag system.
